Barrel Reserve
Our Chardonnay Barrel Reserve is produced from specially selected lots of grapes from our best growers. The grapes are pressed and transferred to oak barrels where we ferment and mature the wine to create the special complexity that only barrel aging can achieve. During the maturation the wines were stirred in the barrels to prolong the contact with the yeast. This "sur lies" aging gives the wine added depth and texture and a pleasant creamy quality to the finish. This wine will pair well with rich creamy dishes, grilled poultry or fish, and it is especially good with lobster, crab, or shrimp.
