Alba Rosa Our Alba Rosa was the first blush
wine to be produced in New Jersey back in 1984. We used the Marechal Foch
grape (simply called Foch here) because when it is lightly pressed and
fermented cool, it makes a wine with a delicious strawberry / raspberry
character. Over twenty years later, we still make it the same way, except that
we now blend the Foch with Cayuga White (a Pinot Blanc hybrid from Cornell
University,) which contributes a delicious peachy flavor. Finished
semi-dry, this wine is perfect just for sipping, or is great with a wide
variety of foods if you prefer your wines not-too-dry.
